A domain name is the web address people use to see your web site. (ex. www.yourname.ca) You must register a domain name before you can get a website. This name must be renewed every year, and prices can range from $18 to $45 per year depending on the extension. This extension (.com, .ca, .net, etc.) is a very important part of the domain name. It can indicate what type of site you are running, or what country it is based in.
